PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Once a recipe is developed by a client it must be standardized to become commercial. There are many areas where once a product is taken from kitchen to the market place, it may fail. Commonly, ingredients may cause failure in product quality once they are scaled from a household recipe to a commercial marketplace recipe. The Product Center will work with the client to help standardize their home recipe into a market recipe. This process assists clients in troubleshooting problems that they may have in translating their recipe into a product. Other Product Development assistance includes quality and function limitations for overall product improvement.

Fee Schedule:  Cost of product development assistance is product and service provided dependent.  Each product will be evaluated based on the assistance needed.  Work required will be converted into an estimate based on time and charged at a rate of $106/hour. Work estimate will be provided to client and approved by client to begin work. Work begins with 50% pre- payment.  This service is coordinated by Specialized Services.
